Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture‘s Valentine’s Day dinner. The reason for that mention is the dinner was being held at the marvelous home on Routh Street that houses DIHC. It used to belong to Anne’s grandfather. Recalling the days when she used to visit the stately mansion as a child, Anne was shook into grown-up reality saying, “Can you imagine we’re going to put together a luncheon in three months?”
Yup! And ironically, the luncheon is called the “Can Do Luncheon.” The Wilkinson Center benefit is scheduled for Tuesday, May 21, at the Dallas Country Club.
To “celebrate entrepreneurship in philanthropy,” plans call for the “first annual Can Do Awards” to be presented to philanthropists Ellen and John McStay and Highland Park United Methodist Church.
