2014 Wilkinson Center Can Do Award Recipients: Anne & Terry Conner

Terry Conner serves as Haynes and Boone’s Managing Partner and a member of its Board of Directors. He has more than 30 years’ experience practicing law. Terry has been an adjunct professor of commercial law at SMU School of Law, a Director of the Texas Association of Banks Counsel, co-chair of the SMU Law School Commercial Lending Institute, a lecturer on business
law at The University of Texas at Dallas, and a member of the State of Texas Science and Technology Council, appointed by then Governor George Bush.

Anne Conner graduated with honors from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in mathematics and a minor in computer science. She married Terry, her high school sweetheart, and they moved to Dallas after his graduation from UT Law School. Anne worked as a Systems Analyst/Project Leader for Lone
Star Gas and Mobil Oil before retiring after the birth of their second son.

Terry and Anne are tireless supporters of organizations dedicated to improving the quality of education for our youth, and both serve on numerous boards. Terry has actively helped organizations including: EducateDallas; Dallas Regional Chamber; Education Advisory Council; Dallas Citizens Council; Dallas AfterSchool; State of Texas Expanded Learning Opportunities Council;
UTD School of Management Advisory Council and the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity. Anne has been active in the following organizations and held leadership positions in most: Lakewood Early Childhood PTA; Lakewood Service League; St. Mark’s Board of Trustees and Parents Association; Dallas AfterSchool; The Family Place; Genesis; Wilkinson Center; Friends of SMU in-
Taos and the UT Chancellor’s Council.
